Fireworks Fiesta @ THE BAY

In line with celebrating Singapore's 41st Birthday, UnUsUal Productions organised :-"SINGAPORE FIREWORKS FESTIVAL 2006"

The fireworks displays took place at the Esplanade Bay, from 21:00hrs for 4 fabulous nights (5/8, 8/8, 11/8 & 12/8). Location's very near my office... *awesome*!

Thou' I didn't plan to catch the shows on all nights, I knew I couldn't miss the last performance. There was a lotta rave about the musically choreographed fireworks display by the French Team. Apparently, they peformed here in Singapore during the Singapore Fireworks Festival in 2004 and had really great reviews.

[Okay, I wasn't in Singapore from Oct '04 - Sep '05, so I had no idea this was an annual thingy]

Anyhow, this year, I'm definitely not gonna miss it! I packed my trusty digi. cam., got my Mum & my maid to come along with me. And headed to Marina Bay to catch the magical event!

Singapore Turns 41

It's nearing the 9th Aug - Our Nation's Birthday.

Sad to say, thou' it's a public holiday in Singapore on 9th Aug. I will have to go back to the office & work FULL DAY! *argh* On the bright side, I'll be staying behind after work with a couple of my colleagues to watch the beautiful fireworks go off @ Kallang right from our meeting room @ Centennial Tower. The view will be PERFECT!

Last Saturday, 29th July 06, I managed to get 4 tix to catch the National Day Parade (NDP) preview, LIVE! (Thanks Dajie!) It sure was great to be able to get a feel of the passion the people have for the country, and celebrate the Nation's success together! Deepsix felt super patriotic that day! *hee hee*

It's been 14 years since I watched the NDP LIVE @ the National Stadium. I still remember the last time I caught it LIVE was when I was 13 years old, and participated in the choir performance. *psst* ... it was a darn good place to meet those Ah Bing(1) Ge(1) aka Army Guys! *hahahaha*

Got Jo, KK & Lucus to come along to catch the NDP Preview. Thought it'll be fun to relive the memories from when we were 13 with Jo, and a great chance for KK to celebrate her recently received citizenship, and of cos', for Lucus, who loves crowds & parties!

Weather was perfect and everyone wore red! The parade was filled with pretty colours and creative formations & dances!

We had a great time at the NDP preview! Time well spent indeed. Last but not least, we would like to say . . .
