Results From My 'JUDGEMENT DAY'

After a handful of friends contributed to the Johari & Nohari windows for deepsix, here's what most people think deepsix is like. With Johari windows revealing what are the positive traits of deepsix, and Nohari windows showing the opposite.

It's interesting to learn how complex the human mind can be, and the fact that no one, not even your closest pal can understand what goes on in your mind. Well of course, whatever I've mentioned above isn't new. But if you take a moment and think hard about it, it is kinda sad isn't it?

Monday Bluez Indeed. . .

The flu bug finally got to me...
Was up all night coughing & puking...
*darn*... I don't feel too well.

Went to work anyway, and headed to the clinic for some medicine in the morning.
Hope I will feel better after taking the medicine...
I need my sleep... @_@

Talk about Monday Bluez... *haiz*
Finally got the reply from my re-negotiations for "THE OFFER".
The conclusion: "NO ROOM FOR NEGOTIATIONS"!
Now I'm really in a dilemma; To accept or not to accept... ... ...
So I decided to do it the conventional way - weighing the pros & cons.

PROS
- More exposure
- Interesting challenges

CONS
- Management's credibility

- Feeling of being taken advantage of

Conclusion?
2 : 2 ...... What now?

Men's Best Friend

Was watching this program 'When Animals Attack' on AXN the other day. And there was one particular shark attack incident encountered by a diver in the Red Sea that caught my attention.

Martin Richardson, a 29 year old diver was out on a dive trip in the Red Sea off Egypt's Sinai Peninsula with a couple of friends. During their surface interval, Martin and his friends saw a pod of dolphins swimming in the sea and decided to go down for a swim among the dolphins. Martin was among the last of his friends to swim back to the dive boat after swimming with the dolphins.

Just as he was doing so, suddenly, something took a bite off his side! Martin was being attacked by a shark! He started to panic a little, and the shark took yet another bite at his upper arm. Companions aboard the dive boat heard him scream. Then they saw 3 bottlenose dolphins encircle the wounded man, flapping their fins and tails vigourously, in attempt to scare off the shark. The dolphins continued to circle Martin for several minutes until his companions reached him and rescued him from the sea.

Martin suffered bites in the left shoulder, stomach and back, including one that slightly punctured his lung. After a week plus of hospitalisation, Martin can now walk, talk and eat normally, all thanks to his life saviors - The Dolphins.

I invite you to JUDGE ME!

Know what I just realised.. ... deepsix kinda sounds like deep-sh*t!? *hahahaha*
Darn! Why did I give myself such a blog name anyway?! *duh*

Perhaps that's why most of my friends describe me as fish-brained.
Maybe I am, maybe I'm not & I'm just trying to amuse my fellow acquaintances!
Who's the fish-brain now... !!! (>.<) v

Anyhow, I got this from Senorita E - The Johari & Nohari Windows. It's a simple model for mapping personality awareness. Simply choose a couple of adjectives which best describes yourself, invite a couple of friends & family to contribute to the list then *voof* you now have a rough idea what deepsix is like! *winks*

Didn't do what I planned...

So it turns out, I didn't get to accomplish what I planned on doing over the weekends. Really pity I have yet to check out the stretch of restaurants along Rochester Park... anyhow, there's always this weekend... ^_*

So what DID I do last weekend..... mmm...

FRIDAY A colleague's friend came visiting from BKK. His name was - OH! To be pronounced in staccato . . ... if pronounced otherwise, it could be interpreted differently (if u know what I mean *winks*).

Anyway, we gathered a couple of colleagues, some Thais, some Singaporeans, and a Vietnamese. and we decided to head down to Prinsep Street for some wanton noodles @ Sunshine Plaza (my all time fav... not until I was introduced to the one @ TPY Central). After which, we proceed to this Arabic themed restaurant for some cold beer and honeydew flavoured sheesha! Check out the pix of my colleagues getting 'high' .... =p

Pic. 1: P'Tee taking his first puff. . .

Pic. 2: Tien is way too experience to feel the kick!

The night ended pretty early with my colleagues cos I thought I oughtta leave the guys to have some guy fun.... also, thought they might wanna show OH the other side of goodie good SIN. ;)

So I left the 'Smoky Joes' and went on to meet yet another 'Smoky Joe' - Wah Wah for a late night movie. We caught the movie 'Fun with Dick & Jane'. I didn't think it was a good movie... kinda depressing actually... *shrug*

SATURDAY By the time I woke up, the sun has setted... ... hahaha... so I went for a jog @ the park and spent the rest of the night chilling @ home *yawnz*...

SUNDAY Hung around town a little bit after my yoga session... saw this really cool fighter plane in front of Ngee Ann City, Breitling was having a roadshow or something.

Pic. 3: Cool huh!?! Its colour combi looks very similar with the Subaru Impreza rally car eh!

Where to this weekend?

Read from somewhere that some of the colonial bunglows along Rochester Park have been refurbished and are open for biz.
The area offers a myriad of recreational options such as spas, retail boutiques and lushy restaurants with al fresco dining areas.
Apparently, the famous Da Paolo restaurant will soon be up and running some time in 2007 too! *woo*

Shall gather a couple of girlfriends, head down to Rochester Park this weekend to chill.
Stay tune for the pix I shall be taking when I'm there this weekend!
Enjoy ur weekend! ^_^ v

Visiting Alicia's Mum

Last Saturday, a couple of girlfirends & myself paid Alicia's Mum a visit. (Alicia's a close buddy of ours. She left SIN to pursue her studies in Brissy for almost 7yrs now... *gesh* has it been that long...)

Anyhow, Aunty wasn't home alone. She was babysitting her grandchild - Kailing, and Jia Jia (Alicia's youngest sis) was still in bed when we arrived (@ ard 11:30hrs).

Aunty still look as thin as I last remembered... but I thought she looked more radiant now.
Perhaps she has little Kailing to keep her company now.
I could sense that she misses the company of her daughters.
When we headed out for lunch, Jia Jia didn't join us... Aunty mentioned that Jia Jia's all grown up now, and she wouldn't wanna join her for most activities. We reassured Aunty that Jia Jia's at this stage where she prefers to hang out with her friends than go out with her parents... in about 5-6 years time, she'll want to spend more time with her parents. We're pretty sure about this, cos' we're speaking from experience... ;p
Aunty also said she has hinted Alicia to move back to SIN for good several times now... but somehow, Alicia still prefers to stay put in Aussie, despite the occassional visits from the 'LONELY MONSTER'.

Lunch ended pretty early cos' Kailing started to get all moody & cranky from the flu medication she was on.
Kailing was a really quiet kid. She didn't say much thru out the entire time we were there... all we heard her say was: "I don't want...". The rest of her sentence was usually too soft to be heard. Thou we did realise Kailing like to keep the hair of her Barbie dolls messy... perhaps it's the 'fashion' these days?! ;p
Elaine on the other hand was really disturbed by it. So she pretty much spent the entire time combing and plaiting the long locks of the dolls.
Some friends I have huh! *ha ha ha*

Nothing bad – I hope

Finally decided to put an end to the ‘ego-trip’ we were on.
Put down my pride, picked up the phone and called him.

*1st beep*
No answer. Engaged in a meeting, perhaps?

An hour or so later
*2nd beep*
No answer still. Extended discussion, maybe?

Yet another hour or so later
*3rd beep*
The phone rang till it got cut off.

Wild thoughts ran thru my mind.
Could something bad have happened?
Friends told me it’s been pretty chaotic in the Middle East lately.

It’s been over 7 hrs since my last attempt to call.
Still no news from him.

Nothing bad – I hope.

Something got me started

Never thought of starting a blog untill now. Was once a chatty and expressive individual. Over the years however, I began to realise not everyone wants to hear everything you have to say. With 1001 things running thru my mind, dying for the world to hear me out, I figured, blogging might just be the closest substitute.
